One of the best ways to experience India has to offer is by embarking on a moderate trek. These treks are challenging enough to be enjoyable and rewarding, but not so difficult that they require extensive experience or training.

There are moderate treks suitable for all seasons and regions of India. Here are just a few of the many incredible options available:

1. Nandi Hills, Karnataka

Nandi Hills is a popular trekking destination near Bangalore. The hills offer stunning views of the surrounding countryside, and there are a number of different routes to choose from depending on your fitness level.

2. Kedarkantha, Uttarakhand

The Kedarkantha trek is a moderate level trek that takes you through some of the most beautiful scenery in the Himalayas. The trail takes you through dense forests, alpine meadows and eventually to the snow-capped Kedarkantha peak.

Sandakphu is the highest peak in West Bengal. It is situated at an altitude of 3,636 metres (11,929 ft) in the Darjeeling district on the border with Nepal. The name Sandakphu means “height of the poisonous plant”. The peak is the highest point of the Singalila Ridge and offers views of four of the five highest peaks in the world, namely Everest, Kanchenjunga, Lhotse and Makalu. The trek to Sandakphu is considered to be one of the most challenging and scenic treks in India.
