Writing smoothly, erasing cleanly. Our unique thermosensitive gel ink formula disappears with friction on paper or heat from an iron or blow dryer when used on fabric.
Pilot Frixion pens were the pioneers in mass market erasable pen. Today they remain an essential tool for many students and professionals who need to quickly make changes quickly.
Erasable Ink
Erasable pens offer you the power to easily correct mistakes and change what you’ve written, while Target offers an array of erasable gel and ball pens from brands such as Pilot FriXion with fine point tips for neat note taking. Furthermore, highlighters and markers offer you another tool for cross out words or alter your writing style.
Pilot’s FriXion ink is easy to write with and leaves no residual marks when erased – unlike older erasable pens which were often cumbersome or messy. While drying times may not compare with major brands like Uni-ball or Pentel gel inks, FriXion’s speed may still suffice for most applications.
Erasing mechanisms within pens use friction to heat up and erase ink, similar to placing paper into an oven but much simpler as there’s no need to take out and put back in paper to reset its process.
This pen uses standard FriXion refills so you can switch colors as needed, and comes in four colours (grey and navy). There’s even an executive version called the FriXion Biz Knock that stands out. Featuring matte black finish with reduced branding for professional looks. Also comes with darker colors including grey and navy!
Thermo-Sensitive Ink
This innovative erasable pen features thermo-sensitive ink that disappears with either rubbing (using the eraser on the end of the pen) or heat, enabling users to rewrite or edit without damaging paper or fabric surfaces. Furthermore, fabric lines can even be ironed over to erase them completely – perfect for marking darts and notches in sewing projects, pattern instructions or tracing embroidery designs!
Special gel ink contains microcapsules that respond to changes in temperature. As soon as heat hits it, its color fades and it becomes transparent – but when placed back into a cooler environment its hue returns! This gives these pens their unique functionality; like magic!
Notably, FriXion pens will not perform optimally in extreme hot or cold temperatures; their ink may become clear if heated above 140F and may fade if chilled below -10F. Before using your FriXion pens on fabric for writing purposes, make sure they won’t pull out pigment and leave behind white residue. Some users have reported that their pens didn’t write initially due to packaging heat; should this occur, simply put the pens into the freezer for 20-30 minutes to bring back their original color!
Erasable Tip
Pilot changed the market with their FriXion line of erasable pens when they introduced it in 2006. Since then, their technology has only continued to advance since the launch of its initial model in 2006.
Frixion pens can be used on virtually any paper or surface, including glossy pages; however, smooth surfaces work best with these gel ink pens as they don’t smudge as easily when writing across them.
The eraser at the end of a pen is an innovative hard rubber strip that does just what its name implies – you simply rub it across your writing to erase it, just as with pencil erasers. No ink remains behind on paper when using this hard rubber eraser!
Pilot offers their FriXion line in various styles and colors to meet the needs of every writer. Choose between gel pens, “point” pens that resemble rollerball pens such as Morning Glory Mach 3s or Evening Glory Mach 3, markers with color-changing inks (such as the ILMILY Color gel pen with its chic white body paired with vibrant grip section and cap colors, label on barrel showing what color will change upon exposure to heat) as well as replacement “erasers” when they start wearing down over time – they all make great companions!
Refillable
If you want to maximize the use of your FriXion pen or share it with others, consider purchasing refills. These refills contain the same erasable ink, fitting into FRIXION series multicolor ballpoint pens as well as Ball Slim models – they’re both economical and eco-friendly!
These pens are composed of 76% recycled plastic, making them even more impressive when considering their many uses. Similar to highlighters in terms of operation but with an added feature: they erase by friction using their rubber eraser on the end. It leaves no trace of eraser by-products on paper and fabric alike! Great for marking darts and notches in fabric projects as well as marking sizes/notes in pattern instructions/tracing embroidery patterns etc!
Highlighters may be more expensive than regular highlighters, but they still cost less than buying new pens. Plus they are far more convenient and practical since they don’t require any water or chemicals for operation – their chic white bodies feature colored grip sections and caps – with one featuring a deep post that posts deeply to protect its tip from drying out completely! They make excellent keepsake items. This pen will last you for many years to come!
